Green to Grown

The University of Texas Health department is a comprehensive academic health university in Houston, Texas. In an effort to overcome the cultural stigmas of birth control, and to promote the benefits of LARC (Long Active Reversible Contraception), the Green to Grown campaign educates and empowers young women with learning resources and personal stories. It is a celebration of womanhood that allows women to take up their own space, shine their own light, and break through the societal boundaries that surround sexuality.

Posters

A series of posters was created showing women in urban areas letting their personality and power grow and inhabit the space around them. Lush greenery sprouts from the ground they stand on; their beauty radiating from within. The campaign helps young women understand they have control over the paths in their lives—that includes their sex life and birth control options.

Microsite

A concept for a microsite was created that encouraged visitors to anonymously submit questions about any topic regarding sex and sexuality. A select group of healthcare professionals were able to respond with helpful information in text or with personal videos.

Social Posts

An instagram account was created for the campaign using designs and messaging to speak with the target audience.

Outreach Kit

In an effort to increase engagement, special outreach kits were created for influencers to share on their social channels.
